CRM and marketing automation platforms perform different but closely connected functions. Sales teams work primarily inside CRM systems to manage prospects, customer information, activities and opportunities, while marketing teams rely on platforms such as Mautic for segmentation, email campaigns and automated engagement.
When these systems operate independently, a single customer workflow can require users to move repeatedly between platforms. A contact created or updated in the CRM may need to be recreated or synchronized in Mautic, assigned to the appropriate segment and connected to the correct marketing activity.
This creates repetitive administrative work, increases the risk of inconsistent customer information and requires users to understand multiple systems simply to complete routine processes.
The requirement was not to replace Mautic or recreate its marketing automation engine. The objective was to build an integration layer that allowed relevant marketing operations to be initiated from the connected CRM while Mautic continued performing the specialized automation functions it was designed for.
Digital Bevy developed a CRM-to-Mautic integration that connects customer-management workflows with Mautic’s marketing automation capabilities.
The integration allows users working within the connected business application to perform selected Mautic-related operations without requiring routine access to the Mautic interface. Customer information can be synchronized into Mautic, contacts can be associated with appropriate segments, and marketing and campaign-related actions can be coordinated through the connected system.
Mautic remains responsible for the underlying marketing automation functionality while the integration exposes the capabilities required by the surrounding customer workflow.
The result is an operational bridge between CRM and marketing automation that extends the value of both systems rather than introducing another independent platform.
